In the daily press conference yesterday, 25 July 2024; Peter Doocy of Fox News asked about talking points being handed out to democrats on Kamala Harris. The first on stating she was not appointed as Border Czar, that there has never been a position Border Czar. The question was simply why are they being handed this and KJP answered it “you would have to check with her campaign.” But like everything today no one stops by simply answering the question.
You will see how KJP immediately attacks republicans and their voting on border legislation. She continues talking about the Border Czar position adding the government said the position does not exist, concluding that with stating independent fact checkers even said that. Here is where the division continues.
Reality, there is no title or position of Border Czar in the United States. It in fact DOES NOT exist. It is a fictitious title thrown out to the media on on 24 March 2021 when President Biden placed Vice-President Harris in charge of the border and massive immigration. Biden stated “because she’s the most qualified person to do it..”.
Fact is only congress can make laws therefore only congress can deal with the issues at the border by passing updated and new immigration laws. Yet for decades congress, both democrats and republicans when they had opportunity to pass immigration reform by having control of the majority in the house, senate and president; still fail to pass any immigration reform laws. Trump promises to do so if he is elected in 2024 but Trump promised to do so in 2016. Still we are here today without any immigration reform and both sides only blaming the other.
A society heavily divided where one side believes everyone should just walk in and be accepted with open arms to remove them all, send them back. Nothing in between exists today.
Context of immigration needs to be considered and still no one wants to talk about this context.
I have ancestors very close moving up my ancestral tree, who immigrated to the U.S. from foreign countries. My Great Grandfather immigrated from Bohemia, my Great Great Grandmother immigrated from Ireland. Others were on what does become the U.S. in the 1600s. Both these families who immigrated recently came here wanting a better life. They believed in the American way of life and government. They wanted to assimilate to being American. Today immigrants come with the intent of making the U.S. a slightly different version of the government and life they are leaving behind. In other words they come here wanting our money but want their government and traditions. Immigration into any country will never work that way. And it should never work.
I have ancestors who fought and died in the war of for independence. Ancestors who voted for the very government we live under. I am not going to give up what they died to give me. They lived everything we see in other forms of government. Some saw hell holes we have never had to live and experience. They wanted no part of that and for some very good reasons.
I believe we need to hold all elected officials accountable for their actions and inaction. Vote them out, stop listening to bullshit promises we all know they are incapable of making and keeping. If we start voting them out frequently when we don’t see change we want; trust me they will begin to change. Imagine what democrats and republicans would have done if in 1992 Ross Perot would have been elected. You would see shear panic by both these parties. For once their jobs and future came to an abrupt end. People spoke out they are tired of the crap these parties deliver and we will not take it anymore.
As that off the wall newly elected president started to request their agenda; imagine the things you would see should congress democrats and republicans refuse to act on anything that president tried to accomplish. The would show the world they do not give a shit about anyone but themselves. The hair would be ripped out of their heads without anything to stop the pain.
This creating bullshit titles and then fighting over that title is nothing but a circus. Harris was put in charge of the border; Harris failed horribly; yet they fight over a fictitious title and ignore the reality of failed results.
