Kamala Harris picked Tim Walz, Governor of Minnesota as her vice president running mate. Stories abound on problems with Walz, Harris, Trump, Vance, etc. pretty much everyone running for office is open game. They want your attention on them and not thinking about what actually happened.
President Joe Biden says he is running for a second term. The Democratic National Committee rules Joe Biden is the ONLY democrat in the primary able to get delegate votes; he is their only candidate even though in many states there was more than Joe Biden on the ticket as a democrat. The Democratic National Committee said if you’re not Joe Biden no matter your vote count you are NOT getting delegate votes.
Harris NEVER ran as a candidate for president on a primary ticket.
Months of Joe Biden is our candidate, suddenly there were calls inside the Democratic National Committee where members were calling for Biden to step down and not seek re-election. More time goes by, more problems being seen in performance and health of Biden, increasing demand for Biden to step down.
After a weekend of hiding Joe Biden released on X, not a public statement, but a post on a social media site that he would be stepping out of the race for re-election. It would be three more days before anyone heard anything from Biden, when finally he gets on national television to announce his stepping down. People even questioned his signature in the letter he posted to X, conspiracy theories were rampant.
Suddenly it is Kamala Harris to the rescue. Really, someone who has done absolutely nothing while she has been vice president, was nothing more than a useless senator, a poor prosecutor. Someone who raised funds to get rioters in Minneapolis bail to be released when they were arrested for destroying the city to the tune of hundreds of millions in damages. Walz was governor of Minnesota at this time and he took more capabilities away from law enforcement during and after the riots.
Harris is nominated by the Democrat National Committee Delegates without a single poll or vote from the public, on a video conference call lasting a couple days for delegates to login and cast their vote. Harris who never appeared on a primary for president, not once were voters asked if they wanted her as the candidate.
You can spend your time thinking about the coup that happened, the conspiracy theories, and all the other crap the media feeds you; and you would be missing the major point in all of what has happened.
Both the Democratic and Republican National Committees snowballed public choice in the primaries. Trump was given the lions share of republican funds for his campaign, democratic funds were never given to any other candidate. They didn’t give anyone a choice who they would vote for, they made the choice for you on who they were going to run with. Then in the democrats side the force fed you Harris after forcing Biden to step down.
Everyone knew Biden was not fit for a second term in office before the primaries started. Yet they put him as the only candidate to get representative votes.
This is NOT a republic, not the one given to us in our constitution. This is party driven and owned government.
States make it nearly impossible for other candidates to get on presidential ballots, where independent candidates face the biggest hurdles to get on the ballot. The media then refuses to print any information on candidates who are not republican or democrat. And you think you have a choice? You really think you choose your president? Senator? Representative? How about the state level where politics and primaries are the same way.
Kentucky, sure we have a primary but you have to vote pure party when casting your vote. You must select either democrat or republican in the primaries; you cannot select different parties based on office they are running for. This is NOT a primary. This is NOT how voting should work. It is NOT allowing me to vote for the best one to represent me.
How is any of this constitutional? Because it is not in the constitution. The constitution gives the power to run elections to the states. States make this decision and their constitutions don’t cover how elections should be run. That is left to laws within each state. So no two states are identical.
No, when it comes to state offices they have no reason to look identical; however in federal offices such as president they should have easier access to being put on the ballot. Let the primary decide how many are on the final ballot. Require signatures, but the number of signatures should not be higher for independents than it is for those representing a party.
Our republic when people knew what our constitution means, when they understood their responsibility to our government; it was the greatest known form of government. People were ruling people, the people had control of the government. But history dies in the United States, they are taught history is some lesson you have to learn in high school, college if you choose to take courses. Value of history is NEVER taught anymore. The value of the mistakes of the past we fixed as a nation, the value of the people coming together to change it. The value of everything our ancestors fought and died to give us. No in the United States, the old are useless and history is to be destroyed. This is how they destroy a republic because people forget the past and no longer know what our republic truly is.
